An enticing live concert from the Semper Opera Dresden recorded on 22nd September 1998. Featuring a varied programme including Vivaldi's 'Concerto for Orchestra in G minor' von Weber's 'Jubel Overture Op. 59' Wagner's 'Overture to Rienzi' and Richard strauss' 'Alpine Symphony Op. 64'. Performed by the resident Sachsische Staatskapelle Dresden and conducted by the internationally renowned Giuseppe Sinopoli.
