B. B. King is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures for successive generations of pop and rock guitarists. This fact was honored by his induction into the Blues Foundation's Hall of Fame (1980) and the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame (1987). A former plantation worker from Indianola Mississippi King has amassed no less than eight Grammy awards to date. In 1993 B.B.
